About AromaPlata

AromaPlata started with a familiar sight: a fridge full of odds and ends — half an onion, a lonely bell pepper, yesterday's rice — and no idea what to cook. We built the tool we wished existed: tell it what you have, and it tells you what you can make, instantly.

It's run by one home cook who personally tests everything — meet me — and I put my name on it. Independent, free to use, and here to help you waste less and eat better.

What we do

AromaPlata is a free cooking companion that matches your real pantry against a curated database of hundreds of recipes, then adds creative AI-generated ideas built around exactly what you have. Around that core we've built a smart pantry with expiry tracking, a camera scanner that reads your fridge or receipts, a weekly meal planner, auto-generated shopping lists, and a guided cook mode with built-in timers.

Alongside the app, our Articles & Guides hub publishes practical food knowledge — kitchen techniques, culinary history, dining etiquette, and food culture from around the world — written for curious home cooks.

Who's behind it

AromaPlata is a one-person kitchen, not an anonymous content machine. I put a real name on my content because you deserve to know exactly who cooked, tested, and fact-checked the advice you're about to follow in your own kitchen.

What we believe

Zero waste first

Roughly a third of household food ends up in the bin. Every feature we build — expiry tracking, use-it-up suggestions, quick wins — exists to shrink that number, one fridge at a time.

Privacy by default

No account, no email, no password. AromaPlata identifies your kitchen with an anonymous device ID and keeps your data yours. We run our own analytics and never sell data.

Practical, not preachy

We meet home cooks where they are. Whether you're a student with three ingredients or a meal-prepping parent, suggestions adapt to your pantry, diet, and time.
